It's What I Do

Today was much more eventful than the previous. I'm thrilled to say that April is providing so much for me. At rehearsal for Man of La Mancha, we got to test out part of the set for the show, and I don't have pictures or video, but I can say it is and will look amazing. The set is huge, like the show. Needless to say that's not all that's happened today. As you may know, I just recently made a second show also known as The Importance of Being Earnest. Our first rehearsal for this show was super awesome. This excites me for several reasons.
  1. Everybody in the cast is super awesome and the director is really cool too. Except for my friend, who made me audition (THANK YOU SO MUCH) Her blog for BEDA is here, I didn't know anyone else. They were all really nice and welcoming and I can tell it'll be an experience to remember.
  2. It's the first show that I've ever been in that wasn't a school production. This is a huge step for me. I've only ever been in the school shows so this opportunity to have a pretty good part for a outside, somewhat professional theatre is more than I could have hoped for.
  3. I love acting. Sure, I hope to make many more musicals, but I've really enjoyed acting in straight plays. Acting is a dream of mine, and this show will no doubt, keep this dream of mine alive.
Afterall, if you're going to make a career out of something, it better be something you want to do. Not to say that there won't be a lot of great things to come in Man of La Mancha, but I'm excited to work with new people in a new place for a whole new experience.
